Folabi joined Ernst & Young (EY), a global professional services firm, based in Lagos, Port-Harcourt & Abuja in 2001 as Deputy Manager-Tax Services and left in 2020 as an Associate Director, Energy & Natural Resources Taxation.

His over twenty-eight years of work experience traverse all facets of Accounting, Management Consultancy and Taxation with special emphasis on tax services in the Oil & Gas, Energy and Allied Industries.

He started his professional career as a trainee with Lekan Lasisi & Co, a medium sized firm based in Lagos between 1995 and 2001 and Ighodalo & Co between 1992 and 1995. His working experience prior to founding the practice spans over twenty-eight (28) years. He studied Accounting and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc.) in Accounting from the University of Benin, Benin City in 1990.

He is a chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Practitioner, Chartered Secretary & Administrator and Chartered Management Consultant. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigerian (CITN), Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered).

He is also an Associate member of Chartered Institute of Secretaries & Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) and a registered professional with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN).

Folabi is an active member of Nigerian Gas Association, Energy Institute (UK & Nigeria Branch) and Centre for Petroleum Information.
